Installing mIRC

You have to download mIRC http://www.mirc.com/get.html and install it on your computer.

NoixIRC Servers

You may connect to either 3 of the servers:

  • sentinels.noixirc.net
  • anderson.noixirc.net
  • trinity.noixirc.net

To make it easier, use /server tppc.noixirc.net, it will look for any of the available 3 servers (sentinels; anderson; trinity) for you to join

Once you are connected to the server, read the rules and regulations. Those are very important, breaking any rule may get you kicked out of the server.

Joining TPPC official channels

Official channels for TPPC are:

  3. Betting

To join, type /join #channelname

Perform

Perform is a tool designed to do things for you when join a server Go in 

Tool -> Options -> Connect -> Options

Click on Perform and a window will pop up. Tick Enable perform on connect, then type in the commands you want mIRC to do for you on connect. Those are the basic ones:

Timestamp

Usually, when you install mIRC, it doesn't come with the timestamp enabled, so you have to do it by yourself if you want to have one. So you in Tool -> Options -> IRC -> Messages Tick <Timestamp events> and type [HH:hh:ss] in the box.

Pidgin is a messaging program that supports many protocols, IRC being one of them. It is also a very lightweight and simple program.
